Area Information for Goshen, New Hampshire

Goshen is a peaceful community located in Sullivan County, NH.

As of the 2010 Census, this 22.6 square mile community had a population of just over 800 residents.

Goshen was first settled in 1768 as part of what is now Sunapee.  However, it wasn’t until 1791 that it was incorporated as Goshen.

According to historians, the town got its name from a community in Connecticut of the same name.

Education in Goshen

Families in Goshen are served by some high-performing public schools in the area.

Primary school-age children attend Goshen-Lepster Cooperative School, a combined elementary and middle school which also serves the nearby town of Lempster.

During the high school years, Goshen residents either attend Newport High School, Sunapee Senior High School or Kearsarge Regional high School.
